Maple Tree Book Shop + Coffee House Donation Policy

Thank you for considering giving your books a new life by donating to our small business!

Items we accept include popular hardcover and paperback fiction, especially classics, romance, adventure, mystery, sci-fi, and westerns. Popular nonfiction items including history, biography, philosophy, religion, gardening, and cookbooks. Children's books are one of our most popular items. These include board books, picture books, early reader, middle grade, young adult, and nonfiction. 

Books must be in good condition: clean, unmarked, with no water damage, no yellow-edged pages, and no mildew, mold, or smoky odors.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following: Bibles, study guides, magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, outdated reference materials, audiobooks in CD or cassette format, and old paperback or hardcover books in poor condition.

Most donations can be dropped off at the shop anytime between 9 am and 4 pm Tuesday-Friday. For large donations (multiple boxes), please contact us to schedule a drop-off time with assistance unloading.
